words: I walked into Panarottis for breakfast with expectations so low they were basically underground. I hadn’t been there in almost two years, so this visit felt less like breakfast and more like closure. I half expected disappointment served with toast. Instead, I got a surprise. A good one. The breakfast menu was far better than I remembered, with enough variety to actually make choosing difficult, which is not something I ever thought I’d say about a Panarottis breakfast. The food was fresh, well prepared, and tasted like effort was involved. Even better, the pricing felt fair, not the usual “why did I pay this much for eggs” regret. What really stood out though was how family-friendly the place has become. There’s a proper kids’ game area that actually keeps children entertained, and a smart little feature that stops kids from casually escaping while parents try to finish a meal in peace. That small detail alone deserves applause. Overall, it felt like Panarottis quietly fixed a lot of things while nobody was looking. Worth the absence, worth the money, and worth putting back into the breakfast rotation.

Worst vegan pizza ever. I ordered a marguerite and Mexicana vegan pizza and it was as dry as a desert. Where is the sauce!?!? I’m livid. I would not recommend Panarottis if it were the last restaurant on earth. Edit; The manager got back to me same day and offered to redo my order. I appreciate the quick response and he invited us back to the restaurant and offered to remake our pizza free of charge with complimentary drinks while also listening to the feedback we had about our experience. This has definitely earned my respect and the second time round the pizza was cooked to perfection.

Charly is the best waitress. She always takes good care of us as customers! She is keeping panarotis going and makes sure her customers come back! 5 stars isn't enough - She needs 20 stars!

I love it❤️. The food was so delicious and the service was amazing. Their empleyers are so friendly and welcoming. There was this short, not too light skinned lady who was serving us, she's black (race) I didn't get her name but she made us feel so welcomed ❤️She should def get a promotion that one❤️😹.Ke di Best felaa!!

Panarottis is my favorite restaurant, my husband and I travel alot and have eaten at many Panarottis restaurants but I have to highly recommend and give credit to the owner of Pietermaritzburg Panarottis in Liberty Mall, Ravi, his manager Lyle and the team. We go to Pietermaritzburg every month since May 2024 and we have always had the best tasting pizza's and pastas the new menu is also so tempting, just want to order everything. Yesterday was very busy but Lyle and the team was still so welcoming, friendly and giving their best service to the customers. We also had the most delicious pizza and pasta. Well Done Pietermaritzburg Panarottis (Liberty Mall) If you are traveling and looking for a scrumptious meal with friendly staff please stop at Pietermaritzburg Panarottis.

Pizza or pasta, this is value for money.....and very child friendly. My son loves the chance to create his own pizza. The rewards programme is also value for money. Service has always been good.
